Dear Trevor, Thank you. Being a father is a great honor and privilege. I love the imagery of Kahlil Gibran when describing the role of a parent as that of the bow and the child as the arrow. We may give aim and empower the child to find their pathway. But the flight is the child's. And, the bow must let go. And so it has been with me and you. I am thrilled to watch you fly and humbly accept responsibility for for providing the thrust for your take-off. But the path is yours to choose and you have chosen so well and I am so proud of you and the decisions you make. I am thankful for your good sense - it is uncommon for young people to have such a large measure of it. I am in awe of your hard work and ability to focus and stay on task. But I am most impressed by your great compassionate heart. May you never become cynical even as you grow wise in the ways of human nature. Love always, DAD
